From High School to the NFL Draft: A Journey of Dreams and Determination
In this week’s episode, I talk to Wendell Bryant as he shares his journey from high school to becoming the 12th overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft.
Wendell was such an imposing guy on the field that It’s hard to believe that a big boy like him didn’t even play a single organized game of football until high school! But the real gem of his story is how he kept his focus on academics and a future in engineering, all while dominating on the field for the University of Wisconsin Madison. Notably, he played a huge role in back-to-back Rose Bowl appearances during his freshman and sophomore years, including a memorable sack that got Wisconsin a dub in the 1999 Rose Bowl.
His path to success from college to the NFL and beyond is not to be missed!
